Our Centres for Street Children provide education and health checks for children living on the streets, victims of abuse, neglect and deprivation, child beggars or engaged in child labour.

4 Education Centres for Street Children where:

  • 279 children were supported leading to school enrolment and staying in school.
  • 196 children were enrolled in formal government schools.
  • 56 went onto non-formal education.
  • 13 Education Awareness campaigns were conducted with 535 participants.
  • 15 children took their Board Exams for Secondary Education.
  • 1 child took their Board Exams for Higher Secondary Education.
  • 8 children were placed in hostel care

ADVOCACY AND EMPOWERING CHILDREN & WOMEN

  • 60 Community Awareness meetings on child labour laws, child addiction, domestic violence and the importance of education.
  • 13 Stakeholder Advocacy meetings were conducted focussing on school enrolment.
  • 7 Women Support Groups were formed to combat incidences of domestic violence.
  • 7 Child Vigilance Groups were formed to ensure child safety & security, and empower street children to stand against violence.

In all our Protection Homes, trainings on life skills, child rights & protection and the importance of education are conducted frequently.
